HR Professionals! Don’t miss this event!

Recently, I had the opportunity to meet with Teresa Recar, Regional Vice President with Career Systems International. We had a great conversation about the dynamics in our economy and how it has changed the way in which employees navigate their career paths in the new economy.

Many people in the new economy are changing jobs at about the three year mark. People are moving quickly to develop new skills and are more responsible for self-direction in their career path than in times past. This can create a problem with retention. I mean, you don’t want your intellectual capital leaving every time they feel there is a bump in their career path, do you? Of course not. You want your core employees to stay at your company, to keep contributing and teaching others how to do the same. So what do you do?

On the Career Systems International website, they clarify the things that are important to employees in today’s working environment.

  • Exciting work and challenge
  • Career growth, learning, and development
  • To work with great people and form great relationships
  • Supportive management and a great boss

CareerPower 3.0 is a tool for companies to guide employees to job satisfaction by looking for and training for the future. It helps employees identify their passion as well as establish and accomplish goals that will press their career forward. What would your employees do if they felt that you were investing in their future?

Your employees will take responsibility for their performance, their dreams, and their future. Companies that implement this program will find that retention will be less of an issue when an employee is assured that their employer is aware of and cares about their job satisfaction and long-term goals. Did you know that 8 out of 10 workers plan to look for new jobs in the next year? Look around you. What if 8 out of 10 people in your office jumped ship? There would be chaos. The time to take action is now.

On August 26th, you will the opportunity to see how CareerPower 3.0 can help strengthen your workforce. Dr. Beverly Kaye will be available to introduce you to this concept, and answer any questions that you may have about it. A continental breakfast will be provided, and you can network other HR professionals and business owners as you learn the keys to equipping your employees for success.
